Dr. Armstrong was selected as one of the first six International Wound Care Ambassadors and is the recipient of numerous awards and degrees by universities and international medical organizations including the inaugural Georgetown Distinguished Award for Diabetic Limb Salvage. In 2008, he was the 25th and youngest-ever member elected into the Podiatric Medicine Hall of Fame. He was the first surgeon to be appointed University Distinguished Outreach Professor at the University of Arizona. He was the first podiatric surgeon to become a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery and the first US podiatric surgeon named fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow. He is the 2010 and youngest ever recipient of the ADA’s Roger Pecoraro Award, the highest award given in the field. Dr. Armstrong is past Chair of Scientific Sessions for the ADA’s Foot Care Council, and a past member of the National Board of Directors of the American Diabetes Association. He sits on the Infectious Disease Society of America’s (IDSA) Diabetic Foot Infection Advisory Committee and is the US appointed delegate to the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot. Dr. Gary Rothenberg is a Board Certified Podiatrist, a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and Certified Wound Specialist who currently holds an dual appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Vascular Surgery at the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She holds a B.A. from the University of Toledo, an M.S. from The Ohio State University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from The University of Toledo and currently practices at George Washington University Hospital. She has held significant leadership roles, including Limb Preservation Coordinator at Emory University and Director of Wound and Vascular Services at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Dr. Bauer is a past President of the Society for Vascular Nursing, serves on multiple national boards and committees, lectures widely, and is a published author and journal reviewer.

Haywan Chiu, DPM, is a podiatric surgeon at Albuquerque Associated Podiatrists in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He specializes in diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Chiu's medical education has taken him from coast to coast in the United States. He completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2007, before moving east for medical school, graduating from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2013. Dr. Loan Lam is the Medical Director of Wound Services at United Vein and Vascular Centers. She graduated from Rice University, received her medical degree from Barry University, and completed her podiatric surgical residency at Yale New Haven Health System in New Haven, CT. She is certified in wound, hyperbaric medicine, and lymphedema therapy. She has authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals, presented numerous wound conference research posters, is a PI for multiple clinical research trials, and is a national and international speaker on behalf of several organizations. Dr. Lam is a member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society, National Lymphedema Network, Wound Healing Society, Wound Care Collaborative Community, American Professional Wound Care Association, and Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing.
